Founded in 2008, STRUCT/RESTRUCT is a full-service design/build studio rooted in the heart of East Lawrence.


Burrough's Creek Addition, LLC has eight south facing 1/4 acre residential lots available located at Haskell and 12th Streets in Lawrence, Kansas. Lots will be sold to buyers who are interested in hiring struct/restruct, LLC to design and build for them a custom residence. The Burrough's Creek Addition development is within walking distance of historic downtown Lawrence, is next to the public Brook Creek Park, is across the street from the Burrough's Creek nature trails, and is within the Brook Creek Neighborhood. Lot prices range from $60,000 - $70,000. Area 1. struct/restruct, LLC headquarters. (highlighted in blue on graphic above) Struct/restruct, LLC is a design and build company founded in 2008 by longtime friends Matt Jones and Eric Jay. Matt earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Kansas in Industrial Design in 2001. Eric Jay graduated from Kansas State University in 2000 with a Bachelor's degree of Architecture. Together with the SRS team they offer design and building services with a focus on contemporary structures, using local and reclaimed materials on exteriors and interiors, and energy resourcefulness. Area 2. (highlighted in red on graphic above) Tract “A”. 2.3 acres of open space that Burrough’s Creek Addition, LLC is donating to the City of Lawrence. The regulatory floodway covers about half of the lot and is mostly undevelopable except as park space. The City of Lawrence has ideas about incorporating the lot into their park system and will maintain the property regularly. The lot is adjacent to and runs the length of all the residential lots in Burrough’s Creek Addition. Homeowners will have access to the property and will benefit from the additional space extended north of their backyard.

Area 3. (highlighted in yellow on graphic above) Lots 1-8, Burrough’s Creek Addition. Lots 1-8 are oriented north/south and are 60’ wide x 170’ deep. All of the lots are zoned RS7 and will be sold to buyers who are interested in hiring struct/restruct, LLC to design and build for them a custom residence. New water and sewer lines were installed as part of the development and a new sidewalk now runs in front of all the lots, from Haskell Ave. to Brook Creek Park. Two street trees will be planted on each property during the development. A buffer zone is required between Lot 1 and struct/restruct’s property, consisting of multiple tree plantings and shrubbery.  Access to all properties will be from 12th St. The Regulatory Floodplain covers portions of each lot and as part of the infrastructure the grade was elevated to approximately 12” above base flood elevation. 

Area 4. (highlighted in green on graphic above) Lot 9, Burrough’s Creek Addition. Burrough’s Creek Addition, LLC is selling Lot 9 to the City of Lawrence. The City Forestry Department approached BCA about purchasing the lot to preserve the HUGE Bur Oak that sits on the lot. The tree currently stands as the second largest Bur Oak in the state of Kansas. The City plans to incorporate the lot into their park system and will regularly maintain the property and prune the tree.
